Company Launches Partner Junction Program with More Than 300 Partners
SAN FRANCISCO – March 25, 2014 – Engine Yard, the leading cloud application management platform, launched the Partner Junction Program, offering partners enhanced benefits and incentives to develop new business and take advantage of the Engine Yard PaaS, expertise and support for client projects. The company’s partner ecosystem has grown to include more than 300 development shops and digital agencies that specialize in web and mobile application design, development and database strategies.
“Our partner ecosystem is yet another way that Engine Yard is driving innovation,” said Marcy Campbell, senior vice president of Global Alliances and Business Development at Engine Yard. “With the Partner Junction program, we’re offering our partners increased benefits and financial incentives to help them create an ongoing revenue stream. By including the Engine Yard PaaS in their services and leveraging our expertise and support to handle technical issues, our partners have more time to focus on development and building great apps to make their clients successful.”
The Partner Junction program benefits include technical support; application migration services; complimentary test, development and staging hours; joint marketing activities and an incentive program. The program’s new dashboard and reporting/monitoring tool, Client Insights, provides visibility into clients’ application data and usage, a unique benefit of the Partner Junction program. Partners and their clients also have the option of signing up for Managed support, which enables them to rely on Engine Yard support and professional services engineers to run and manage applications on their behalf, as well as receive strategy, planning and additional managed services.
By partnering with Engine Yard, development shops and digital agencies focus on designing and building new applications, campaigns and websites for clients. As a result, partners reduce time to market and ensure applications are deployed on a reliable platform that scales to meet their needs.
Area 17, an Engine Yard partner and interactive agency, was selected to build The Webby Awards’ “People’s Voice” web application. They needed to deploy the application, so it would be immediately scalable at launch, with the possibility of traffic spiking rapidly and repeatedly throughout the voting period. The application was deployed from staging to production in under two hours. The site experienced an increase of 100 percent in the number of votes on day one (over the previous year) and had traffic spikes as high as 40 percent. It performed exceptionally well.
“Engine Yard delivered on every requirement,” said Phil Jeffs, director of Product at Area 17. “The Engine Yard Professional Services team provided advice and support through the entire setup process and allowed us to be confident that both the application and its infrastructure were going to hold under traffic. The entire team at Engine Yard was responsive, professional and continued to prove themselves as experts in their field. Our partnership with Engine Yard enabled us to deliver a seamless solution to The Webby Awards.”
“The site launch went more smoothly than it has ever gone before and remained stable throughout the campaign,” said Claire Graves, managing director of The Webby Awards. “We’ve historically had trouble managing the stability of the site, and this year we could not have asked for more.”
