Software industry veteran to take the company to the next level of growth in customers, products
SAN FRANCISCO — October 7, 2014 — Engine Yard, the leading cloud application management platform, today announced its Board of Directors has appointed software industry veteran and venture capitalist Beau Vrolyk as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Vrolyk has over 35 years of experience building, managing and investing in both early stage and Fortune 500 software and hardware companies. With his extensive operational experience and special focus on development platforms, he is extremely well suited to the task of steering Engine Yard on its continued path of rapid growth and getting new products to market quickly.

Before joining Engine Yard, Vrolyk served as managing director of Vrolyk Ventures, focusing on investments in early-stage technology companies; and as managing director at Warburg Pincus, where he managed investments in the information technology and telecommunications sectors. Previously, he served as CEO of TogetherSoft Corp; CEO of 3ware, Inc.; Senior Vice President of the Product Group at Silicon Graphics, Inc; and Vice President and General Manager at Xerox Corp. He earned his B.A. in philosophy, with a specialty in symbolic logic, from California State University at Northridge.
